A group of researchers from the universities that comprise the “Alianza 4U”: Madrid Carlos III University, Autonomous University of Madrid, Autonomous University of Barcelona, and the Pompeu Fabra University. It provides up-to date and reliable information on different aspects of the research activity of Spanish universities. It prepares a range of R&D&I variables and indicators that make it possible to determine the activity of public and private universities, academic staff, research activity, innovation, competitive capacity, and researcher training activity. It enables the preparation of university profiles based on their academic activity

U-Ranking de Universidades Españolas

The overall results are presented in two different formats: • U-Ranking, which classifies universities according to their performance correcting for the effect of their size in order to make them comparable • U-Ranking Volume, which classifies universities according to their total volume of results and taking into account the three main missions of Spanish universities:

A global compilation on scientific performance and data about trends in science derived from the Web of Science Core Collection. It evaluates the research performance of institutions, countries, researchers, and journals

Scimago Institution Ranking

This project developed by SRG (SCImago Research Group) is a platform for academic evaluation platform and creating rankings to analyze the academic output of universities and academic institutions. Its aim is to design analysis tools to help institutions to monitor and evaluate their academic production and take decisions to increase their academic output and finance projects .

Shanghái Ranking- Academic Ranking of World Universities

Compiled by a group of specialists in bibliometrics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. It uses six objective indicators to classify universities from around the world. These indicators are: the number of alumni and lecturers who have won Nobel prizes and Fields medals; the number of highly-cited researchers; the number of articles published in the journals Nature and Science; the number of articles indexed in the Science Citation Index - Expanded (SCIE) and Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI); and the performance per capita in relation with the size of the institution. The ARWU classifies over 1,200 universities per year and the 500 best are published on-line

 U-Multirank

It compares the performances of higher education institutions – in short: universities – in the five dimensions of university activity: (1) teaching and learning, (2) research, (3) knowledge transfer, (4) international orientation and (5) regional engagement. The U-Multirank web tool enables comparisons at the level of the university as a whole and at the level of specific study programmes. Based on empirical data, U-Multirank compares institutions with similar institutional profiles (‘like-with-like’) and allows users to develop their own personalised rankings by selecting indicators in terms of their own preferences.

CWTS Leiden Ranking

Stands for a multidimensional perspective on university performance. taken into account. Compared with other university rankings, it offers more advanced indicators of scientific impact and collaboration. The underlying bibliometric methodology is richly documented. The Leiden Ranking provides information exclusively about the research done at universities. Because universities are complex institutions that have a variety of forms, contexts and missions, their performance cannot be represented by a single number. The Leiden Ranking consistently presents different indicators for you to explore the performance of universities from different angles. .

Ranking Web de Universidades (CSIC)

Since 2004, the Ranking Web (or Webometrics Ranking) is published twice a year (data is collected during the first weeks of January and July for being public at the end of both months), covering more than 27,000 Higher Education Institutions worldwide. We intend to motivate both institutions and scholars to have a web presence that reflect accurately their activities
